Sigma Brushes

Hey gorgeous ladies,
As you may have already seen on my blog I love Sigma and their brushes. Before I get into explaining into detail about each of these brushes I first wanted to share with you my disastrous experiences with brushes in general. At first, when I started with makeup I was obsessed with sponges for some reason I thought that was cool. In fact I had a huge bag of sponges everywhere so I could do my makeup. Soon enough I met the gel eyeliner MAC FLUIDLINE in blacktrack and of course, I could not use a sponge, therefore, I spent 23 dollars ( more than what the gel cost!!!)in a eyebrow pencil by MAC#208. After sometime, I lost that pretty brush that helped me with my gel.

Soon my mom gave me a great brush set she had received as a gift from Estee Lauder I was so excited. I would soon become a professional makeup artist, or so I thought. I was wrong. They were horrible. The contour brush did not have enough bristles to even start with, but the shader brush was good. Still they were not a big deal.

Later on I stumbled with sigma brushes and I was really intrigued by all the reviews and they were mostly positive. I decided that I would by brushes and spend a little more. And so I did.

I first started with the Basic Kit with twelve brushes. I have been so impressed about how good they are. They really go above and beyond my expectations.

I have to say the fluffy Tapered Blending brush is not my favorite. There is one in MAC that I like more. But still, 11 out of 12 brushes are still great.

After some time Sigma came out with new brushes and they also looked amazing. The density and volume they had were perfect for blending eyes and even concealer.
My absolute favorite brush is the one on the left corner. That is amazing with liquid or cream foundation and it blends it all right in.

I absolutely recommend checking them out, if you have not already. I was in Mexico when I bought them and it took about 9 days to get to me. But if you think about it they were shipping internationally, so it was not bad.

Check them out!!

Avocado Hair treatment

Hello Gorgeous ladies!!!
So, I know I have been MIA but it is december which means finals, but still we should always spend some time blogging and I just want to share something I did to my hair on Saturday.

My hair is very sensitive, dry and sometimes even oily(luckily my hair does not get shiny because of it) but still you get an idea. This treatment I am about to show you is for people with dry hair and trust me, it works!! It leaves my hair so soft and my hair is usually not. It makes it manageable and easy to handle.

What you'll need :
-1 avocado
-1 egg yolk
- 2 teaspoons of Olive oil
-Shower cap
-1/2 lime

1. Put everything together. Squish Squish Squish. MIX MIX MIX.
2.  Spread it on your hair
3. Use a plastic hair cap so that the natural heat helps the oils silk on your hair
4. Wait as long as possible for better results
5. rinse and clean as usual

Comment down below and let me know if you tried it!!!:)

Simple Smokey look for the holidays

5 THINGS I ASKED SANTA TAG

Hello gorgeous ladies,

So, I was tagged by my one of my followers called Curious Ladybug. She tagged me to do a blog on five things I wanted for Christmas. I was having a tough time figuring out what I would ask Santa this year. Anyways, I thought it would be fun to share what beauty related products I am missing or wanting. Sephora has great gift sets for all those makeup lovers like me. These are the things I would ask for:

1. Skincare 1 2 3 White Lucent Brightening: Two weeks ago, I visited Sephora and I stumbled upon this limited edition skincare set. It looked really great and I know from experience that Shiseido products are great!

 2. Twilight Woods: This smells amazing and the whole set is just too cute to be true. This is from Bath and Body Works.

3. Smashbox Perfect Complexion: This is a gorgeous set and I have been dying to try Smashbox foundation line.

4. Wild & Chic Best of MAKE UP FOR EVER Kit: This is a perfect Christmas Gift because it has the best of Makeup Forevers products. I am a absolute fan of this brand. Giving a gift like this is easier because you do not have to look for a perfect shade for the person you are buying the gift. This gift set matches all skin tones.

5. Lots of love!!!! <3<3 Christmas is about spending time with family and loved ones. Giving is the best part of it all.

Hope you liked my ideas. Please share which one you liked the most and if you would buy it for yourself or someone else.

I AM TAGGING EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU TO DO A 5 THINGS I ASKED SANTA BLOG OR VIDEO RESPONSE. I would be so excited in reading what is on your list.

All these gifts are under 50 dollars!
Check them out at  Sephora !!! and Bath and Body Works

5 Best Black Eyeliners

Most makeup looks include using eyeliner and it is one of the most important parts of the a makeup look. I have tried almost every high end and drugstore eyeliner whether it is liquid, gel or pencil. These are the ones I recommend the most.

1.     MAC Fluid line Gel: This is the best eyeliner I have used so far. I always by different products to try them but I also end up back with this one. It can take you to the perfect smokey eye smudge, or to the perfect winged look. It is not perfect because there is still no perfect eyeliner. It is very black and durable.
2.     Palladio Waterproof Pencil: This is a waterproof pencil and I like this one a lot. Palladio is not known for their eye pencils but I truly believe this one is perfect. It is waterproof which makes the pencil last longer. It is very pigmented and glides on smoothly. I have one of these in almost every color.
3.     Milani: This pencil has it pros and cons, but made my list of best five eyeliners. It is very pigmented which is a huge plus. Plus it is the smoothest pencil there is. It does not smudge, but if you are looking to smudge it out, you should do it as soon as you apply it. The big con about this pencil for me is that it does not last. After some time the pigment will fade and it will smudge. It is still greatly priced and a great product
4.     Urban Decay 24/7: This liquid eyeliner is great for wings and coverage. It is also very black and like most liquid eyeliners this one does not irritate my eyes when I use them. It is long lasting but the line is most likely to get chipped or flaky sooner or later. But, in comparison to other liquid eyeliners it is great. Cons: pricey
5.     Revlon Colorstay Waterproof: If the palladio pencil did not work I would most definitely use this one. It is great and very similar to palladio. The difference between them both is that Colorstay fades away faster than the other.
Brands I would not suggest buying:
-L’oreal
-Maybelline
-Lancome
-Makeup Forever
- Covergirl

Comment down below what the best eyeliners for you are.

ALL opinions are my own.

Winged Eyeliner for Pin-Up look

NO MAKEUP
1. Start with a clean eye

2. Apply a thin layer of Eye Primer, use whichever you have available. I am using Urban Decay's Primer Potion

              3. Using a shadow whichever is best for you and your skin tone       (beige or gold) apply with a large shader brush in the eyelid.

4.  Do the eyeliner. CAUTION: the eyeliner is the most important part of the whole makeup look. Practice makes lines better
5. On the inner corner of your eye apply a lighter shadow to make your eyes pop. Apply a very light eyeliner I used Palladio Eye Pencil in Green in the  lower waterline.

6. Curl your lashes
7. Proceed to do touchups on the eye (more highlighter, shadow, eyeliner)
8. Finish the eye

Proceed to doing the rest of the makeup: brows, foundation, etc

If you like this please let me know and comment down below!:)

Wedding Makeup

We all dream about that fairytale wedding don't we? We picture ourselves flawless and perfect. Here are some tips so that you and your makeup artist (or whomever does your makeup, it can even be you) find the perfect tips and tricks to get your dream look)
Carry on Must Haves in the Wedding:

A bride should carry (have in hand):
-a small bag
-lipstick
-blot or translucent powder
-Q-tips to clean up any type of smudges.
- small perfume (carry-on or sample perfumes are perfect)

What a bride should do a week before wedding(some of these are optional):
- Wax: remove hairs from any part of the body, it is not suggested to do it in the wedding date because you could get irritations and we don't red spots all over a bride's body.
- Tanning: if the bride is going to tan, I suggest that they do it two weeks in advance, because there should always be a makeup testing
- Body procedure: peeling, moisturizing, any type of beauty procedure is to be done before the wedding date.( I suggest you do a facial or peeling so that your skin will glow)
-Hair Coloring or Shortcut: you will not have time for this on the day of the wedding. It is all about what has already been planned and done.
-Makeup, Hair, and Dress Rehearsal: If you want to look perfect, knowing how, what, and which products you are going to use just makes the day of the wedding so much easier. PLAN AHEAD.

Makeup ideas:
There are many ways you can do your makeup for the wedding day. Here are my suggestions:

Smokey eye: The smokey eye never fails, if the wedding is on the day try not to use blacks or dark browns. Also remember that if you do a heavy smokey eye you should keep the lips simple. You do not want to look like a clown.

To get a smokey eye this is what you will need:
- A neutral pallet (brown, taupe, beige, gold). The Naked Pallet from Urban Decay or Nude on Nude from NYX Cosmetics
- Eye primer: You do not want fall outs. Urban decay's Eye Primer is great.
- Nude lips(peachy, nude pink, brown or bronze): There are many brands and pretty colors.
- Light blush and bronzer: a peachy blush or bronzy blush is your way to go. I personally like to use a little bit of bronzer with a peachy blush.
- Highlighter: Highlighter is a must. This will draw more attention to the face, giving it a natural glow.
- Eyeliner:  Eyeliner is also very important. Use blacks or browns
- Brows: Fill in your brows in a shade lighter that your hair tone. It is all about filling the spaces, not making it look like you drew your eyebrows.
- Foundation Primer and concealer: If you have redness in your face try a concealer that cancels out the redness (Makeup Forever Concealer pallet).
- Foundation: I suggest using HD foundations to make your face look flawless. Do not use a foundation with a lot of SPF because a lot of pictures are taken and you do not want to look white.
-Translucent Powder:  Using a translucent powder sets all the makeup in. I highly suggest Makeup Forever Translucent Powder.
-Mascara: Use a waterproof mascara. Always in Black.

Pin- Up Look: This look is amazing for any bride who is willing to be risky, sexy and glamorous.

- Foundation Primer and concealer: If you have redness in your face try a concealer that cancels out the redness (Makeup Forever Concealer pallet).
- Foundation: I suggest using HD foundations to make your face look flawless. Do not use a foundation with a lot of SPF because a lot of pictures are taken and you do not want to look white or shiny
-Translucent Powder:  Using a translucent powder sets all the makeup in. I highly suggest Makeup Forever HD Translucent Powder.
-Eye liner: A liquid Eyeliner is perfect to create that winged look.
- Eye primer: You do not want fall outs. Urban decay's Eye Primer is great.
- Brows: Fill in your brows in a shade lighter that your hair tone. It is all about filling the spaces, not making it look like you drew your eyebrows.
- Highlighter: Highlighter is a must. This will draw more attention to the face, giving it a natural glow.
- Shadow: You are looking for a light shadow  ( Beige or light gold)
- Red Lipstick: Find the right red lipstick for you. If you have more of yellow undertones try darker reds and if you have pale or blew veins try lighter reds. It is all about the perfect red for YOU.
-Red Pencil: To create the perfect red you should always line your lips.
-Mascara: Use a waterproof mascara. Always in Black
- light blush: do not go over board, try a pinkish blush and apply to cheekbones

TOP FIVE DRUGSTORE FOUNDATIONS

Hello everyone,

These are my five top face foundations for me!

1. Neutrogena Healthy Skin: I absolutely love this foundation specially if you are the kind of girl that loves wearing foundation everyday. Its formula is natural looking and absolutely perfect for an everyday basis use. It is also great because it has SPF 20 that makes your skin glow, keeping your face young.

Skin types: Oily /Dry /Sensitive

2. Revlon Color Stay: I used to think that the Photo Ready was better because it would look better on photos, but I believe it does not relate at all. This heavy coverage foundation is perfect if you are looking for full coverage and durable. It is very long lasting and if you only have this foundation for everyday use, I suggest that you use a moisturizer to mix it up a little bit. It is great, but you do not want your face looking cakey

Skin types: Normal

3. Natureluxe Silk Foundation: Again if you are a girl who loves to wear foundation, but goes more onto the natural side I recommend this one. I would also suggest that people who were this foundation are girls that tend to go on the dry/ combination skin typee. It is very oily at first but if you set it with loose or blot powder it will look finished. I like this foundation because of its components and how lasting it also is.

Skin types: Dry/ Combination
4.  True match L'oreal Foundation:  I love this foundation because it is amazing in every single aspect. If you are just a girl looking for a first time foundation or have many types of problems with your skin. This is the match for you!

Skin types: all

5. Maybelline Dream liquid mousse Foundation: this is my least favorite of all my favorite foundations because all of the above are great options for all the skin types I mention. Although, it is my least favorite the coverage is still good if you are looking for little to medium coverage.

REMEMBER: IN FOUNDATION LESS IS MORE!

If you have any favorites please comment below sharing I would love to try new products.

Please post comments on suggestions and what you would like to see

Women abuse.. and makeup

This was a class project in which we had to do a Public Service Announcement on women abuse. I took the picture and edited with www.picnik.com. The makeup was super easy, I used my 'All I Ever Wanted' pallet and used purple, black, and yellow. Try not to exagerate and keep it simple

Enjoy!

a little intro. Once upon a time

Hello everyone,

(the following is the intro I give to every single person who wants to know about me)

I am from Ecuador and Korea, YEAH, that's right! Ecuador and Korea. My mom is from Ecuador and my dad is from Korea. I was born and raised in Ecuador but at the age of fifteen I moved to Mexico with my family. I consider myself Ecuadorian and latina most of the time, but my face makes me look 120% asian, (which I do not mind). I embrace both my cultures and absolutely love them!

A picture of me when I was a small child (cute?)

When life gives you lemons... make a scrub!

Hello everyone,
You know that famous saying 'when life gives you lemons, make lemonade', but what if you do not have sugar, or water? Without those essential things lemonade is pretty much impossible to make. But I have great ideas on how to use lemons as a beauty product!

1. Lemon for your under arms: Do you feel like shaving hurts, and not only that but leaves dark spots all over? Or that no deodorant on the planet really works for you and you are screaming for help? This very easy method will help you achieve a whitening under arm solution that will kill all ugly smells and help with those dark spots...

Once you have cut the lemon in half, squeeze all the lemon juice out of it( DO NOT FOR ANY REASON SCRUB IT OR PUT IT DIRECTLY TO YOUR UNDER ARM. This will stain your skin and probably never unstain). Grab the juice and massage it all over your under arm. Keep your hands up until dry. Do the same with the other arm.

2. In the shower: Squeeze one whole lemon into a cup with one table spoon of sugar. Then go ahead and scrub, scrub, scrub. This will help with stain, smell and exfoliating!
