5 Tips to Start your Day Great!

Hello everyone!!

Hope you have had an awesome week so far. I wanted to share a post on how to start your day great because a lot of times for me it can be a bit of a problem because I always prefer to take those 10 minutes more, which becomes 30 or 40 minutes. Then I have to wake up in a hurry because I didn't get things done.

So these are simple things that will make your life feel more organized and clutter-less.

1. Have a good night sleep: Your body needs a minimum of 6 hours of rest. However, I firmly believe that sleeping for 8-10 hours is better because your body has time to fully regenerate.

2. Have a plan: A lot of times we don't make plans or have a list of things to do. This always leads to staying more in bed and then waking up in a hurry. Make a list of things to do for example: Take a shower, do some yoga, go to school.

3. Get light in: Once you wake up don't keep those curtains closed. Make sure you open them to receive all that good Vitamin D. It is so interesting to see just how sunlight can change your mood and it does help so get that natural light in.

4. Have breakfast: Breakfast is so important and it really defines on how you are going to spend the rest of your day. If you have time to do your makeup, then you have time to eat. Try a green smoothie, omelettes, or yogurt with cereal.

5. Smile and be Polite: Smiling in the morning is very important because it shows what mentality you are going to be at the rest of the day. Just because a day started badly does not mean it has to end up badly.

The extra one:

Be confident: Be confident in how you look, what you do, and always always be confident with yourself.

What are your tips on starting a great day?

How to Organize in Small Spaces

Hello Lovelies!!

This video is all about organizing in small spaces. If you  live in a college dorm, are a college student with a budget, or share a roommate you totally understand what I mean. In my room back home, having a walk in closet was so comfortable, but everything changed once I reached college. These tips are awesome if you need space saving in your closet, jewelry and makeup.

Recycle:

Recycling Wine bottles and using them as bracelet holder is a very good way to organize and decorate. Use them for headbands and necklaces too.

Magazines are great decor. Specially in dorm rooms where you can't use nails so using photos and cut-outs from magazines to create collages gives the impression that your room is well put and a bit more interesting and colorful.

Stacking Magazines:

I love my magazines, but once you finish reading them instead of taking them to your bathroom and stacking them opt for stacking them and using them to help display jewelry. As shown below, I use my magazines to create a platform for my makeup and jewelry.

Use what you have:

You don't need extra decor in a small space. Specially because it can create clutter and that is what you don't want at all, right? So if you have a nice perfumebottle display and try to create a balance between all the products by displaying them neatly and kind of messy at the same time.

Use kitchen utensils:

A lot of times kitchen utensils are great for jewelry organizers. The wooden thing you see below is actually a cup hanger but I use them for my bracelets.

For Makeup:
Use lipstick holders: lipstick holders are the best way to display your lipstick. This way you won't forget what lipsticks you have and will be easy to grab if you are on the go. Buying lipstick holders is really easy. I bought mine at The Container Store but you can also get them at Ebay or Amazon.

Hang your brushes
I used to always keep my brushes in a my brush roller, but by displaying them I reach for them more often. I chose to hang them because my small space does not have more space to keep it elsewhere.

Maximize Space:

I use a hanger to put cotton swabs and your brushes. I also use it to put my cameras and some cables. This way it is easier for me to find it later.

What are some of your ideas on space saving and organizing?

Let me know in the comments below. Have a Great day.

Countdown to Christmas: How to keep warm and fashionable in Winter

Heyoo:)

I am starting this new Countdown to Christmas in which every single day there is going to  be a post that can be related to fashion, beauty, or my randomness. Christmas is definitely my favorite time of year since it is all lights, carols, family, and friends. So in this segment you will find OOTDs, holiday tutorials, vlogs, holiday giveaway ideas and so much more. I am sooo excited to be counting down to Christmas stay tune for a lot of surprises as well!!!!!!

Days to Christmas: 22

When trying to be warm for the winter a lot of us (ahem me) can forget how to include being fashionable. Instead we kind of lean towards being more cozy and comfortable. What most of us do not know is that we can be all cozy without risking not being fashionable. I definitely like having both on my side.

Tip #1:

A Pop of color:

I love wearing all black outfits with a pop of color. I like black because it is not overpowering with layering and it also doesn't make me look like a grizzly bear just walking around the city of Seoul.

For the pop of color choose a scarf with a really cool pattern. Check out one of my favorite fashion icons (Blake Lively) rocking this tip

If you are not the scarf type of girl choose a handbag or purse that will stand out. I also love wearing different colored shoes with my all black outfit.

Tip # 2

Bulky it up on different sections

Its winter time and I love my uggs. That doesn't mean you will see me also wearing baggy sweatpants, uggs, and a slouchy sweater. In the contrary when using bulky pieces such as uggs I like to wear pixie pants or warm cozy legging to even out the look.

In this photo I am wearing a skirt, pantyhose and my uggs making the look more fashionable and girly. Its a little bit colder in Seoul now than when this picture was taken. But if I had to take a picture today I would wear my Uniqlo Heattech leggings beneath it.

So these are my tips for today stay tuned for this Countdown to Christmas series and for A LOT OF SURPRISES!!!

Give Me One More Week

Hello everyone!!

Do you know what I have promised you guys this week? My monthly picture of how I am getting toned. My Toning my body program. And for the past three weeks I have been going to the gym nonstop and eating healthy. However, I must say that these past five days I have been working on a social event that has lead me to forget about the gym, and forget about eating healthy. That didn't mean I was leaving it behind, but because I was so busy I didn't keep up with my 5 meals a day. Unfortunately this is the reason I am asking you to give me one more week so that I can catch up with everything I did not do these past five days.

A little update:

Eating healthy: At first I was doing it all wrong. I was eating really healthy. Too healthy. I wasn't taking in any proteins which just made me hungrier by the time I finished the gym. When I started balancing everything out. It was so much easier for me to keep up and be energized. Your body needs all that fuel and natural vitamins to keep it going.

Don't starve: There are many vegetables I hate. But, remember there is a lot to choose from. Just like anything vegetables are not so limited and you can adapt to something or grow to like it. And don't stick with only salads because they can bore you really easily. Opt for brown rice and brown pasta and mix in your veggies in there. Anything brown will make you fill up faster.

To eat healthy you have to eat one of each line in the pyramid.

Going to the gym: My tips for this one is to push yourself. You are capable of what you don't even think you are. Yes you can keep going, and whenever you feel like you are going to give up, imagine your best body. It is really hard for me to keep up sometimes with my yoga class because I am really week on my arms, but I have grown so much stronger, and have done things I thought were not possible. So trust me, if I can, you can.

Tips:

  • Keep a food journal and an inspirational board. In your board put quotes and pictures that will inspire you to become the best you.
  • Don't weigh yourself everyday or even every week. That was my mistake. Because once you start loosing those extra pounds and you'll see numbers you will become confident. Too confident to the point where I was eating things I shouldn't have. Your best ally is the mirror, you will see changes there and you will like it.
  •  Force yourself to water. Drink, drink, drink. Your body should be drinking half your weight in fluid ounces.
  • Mix it up: Don't bore yourself by going to the gym only there are many great workouts in youtube. And it doesn't have to be all the same. Do yoga, zumba, pilates, martial arts, etc. Your body will respond better if you are constantly changing up your routine because your metabolism will boost and you will shed that belly fat straight away.

5 tips to make your room look organized

Hello everyone,

I mentioned before that I am not quite an organized person. I love cleaning and everything but I move a lot in my room so that really messes things up. Most times I forget to put things back into its place and thats where the mess begins. The horrible thing is when a friend comes over and you really have not much time to clean these ideas are great for those of you with very little time.

Make your bed:

Because your bed is always the focus of your room and usually the biggest furnish object you have you should clear up your bed and fold everything into place. So make your bed.

Pick up that dirty clothes:

Dirty clothes appear everywhere. I constantly find myself just dropping clothes on the floor without a care. Pick it up and put it somewhere your guest won't see. After your guest leaves, take it to the laundry so that you avoid having a huge mountain on the end of the month.

Organize:

What? I mean its all about organization. If you have ten minutes only I would probably do the two tips above but if you have more time take time to put everything into place.

Spray:

Spray mist or burn a candle to give your room a more cozy feel.

Space:

Find space to see where you will hang out with your friend.

Hope these tips really help.
Let me know if you have any more ideas.

Wedding Makeup

We all dream about that fairytale wedding don't we? We picture ourselves flawless and perfect. Here are some tips so that you and your makeup artist (or whomever does your makeup, it can even be you) find the perfect tips and tricks to get your dream look)
Carry on Must Haves in the Wedding:

A bride should carry (have in hand):
-a small bag
-lipstick
-blot or translucent powder
-Q-tips to clean up any type of smudges.
- small perfume (carry-on or sample perfumes are perfect)

What a bride should do a week before wedding(some of these are optional):
- Wax: remove hairs from any part of the body, it is not suggested to do it in the wedding date because you could get irritations and we don't red spots all over a bride's body.
- Tanning: if the bride is going to tan, I suggest that they do it two weeks in advance, because there should always be a makeup testing
- Body procedure: peeling, moisturizing, any type of beauty procedure is to be done before the wedding date.( I suggest you do a facial or peeling so that your skin will glow)
-Hair Coloring or Shortcut: you will not have time for this on the day of the wedding. It is all about what has already been planned and done.
-Makeup, Hair, and Dress Rehearsal: If you want to look perfect, knowing how, what, and which products you are going to use just makes the day of the wedding so much easier. PLAN AHEAD.

Makeup ideas:
There are many ways you can do your makeup for the wedding day. Here are my suggestions:

Smokey eye: The smokey eye never fails, if the wedding is on the day try not to use blacks or dark browns. Also remember that if you do a heavy smokey eye you should keep the lips simple. You do not want to look like a clown.

To get a smokey eye this is what you will need:
- A neutral pallet (brown, taupe, beige, gold). The Naked Pallet from Urban Decay or Nude on Nude from NYX Cosmetics
- Eye primer: You do not want fall outs. Urban decay's Eye Primer is great.
- Nude lips(peachy, nude pink, brown or bronze): There are many brands and pretty colors.
- Light blush and bronzer: a peachy blush or bronzy blush is your way to go. I personally like to use a little bit of bronzer with a peachy blush.
- Highlighter: Highlighter is a must. This will draw more attention to the face, giving it a natural glow.
- Eyeliner:  Eyeliner is also very important. Use blacks or browns
- Brows: Fill in your brows in a shade lighter that your hair tone. It is all about filling the spaces, not making it look like you drew your eyebrows.
- Foundation Primer and concealer: If you have redness in your face try a concealer that cancels out the redness (Makeup Forever Concealer pallet).
- Foundation: I suggest using HD foundations to make your face look flawless. Do not use a foundation with a lot of SPF because a lot of pictures are taken and you do not want to look white.
-Translucent Powder:  Using a translucent powder sets all the makeup in. I highly suggest Makeup Forever Translucent Powder.
-Mascara: Use a waterproof mascara. Always in Black.

Pin- Up Look: This look is amazing for any bride who is willing to be risky, sexy and glamorous.

- Foundation Primer and concealer: If you have redness in your face try a concealer that cancels out the redness (Makeup Forever Concealer pallet).
- Foundation: I suggest using HD foundations to make your face look flawless. Do not use a foundation with a lot of SPF because a lot of pictures are taken and you do not want to look white or shiny
-Translucent Powder:  Using a translucent powder sets all the makeup in. I highly suggest Makeup Forever HD Translucent Powder.
-Eye liner: A liquid Eyeliner is perfect to create that winged look.
- Eye primer: You do not want fall outs. Urban decay's Eye Primer is great.
- Brows: Fill in your brows in a shade lighter that your hair tone. It is all about filling the spaces, not making it look like you drew your eyebrows.
- Highlighter: Highlighter is a must. This will draw more attention to the face, giving it a natural glow.
- Shadow: You are looking for a light shadow  ( Beige or light gold)
- Red Lipstick: Find the right red lipstick for you. If you have more of yellow undertones try darker reds and if you have pale or blew veins try lighter reds. It is all about the perfect red for YOU.
-Red Pencil: To create the perfect red you should always line your lips.
-Mascara: Use a waterproof mascara. Always in Black
- light blush: do not go over board, try a pinkish blush and apply to cheekbones
