C2C: A OOTD and the First Snow in Seoul

Hello

You probably don't know that I am currently in Seoul in a study abroad program. Anyways, today was the first day of snow in the city and for me its always a love/hate relationship thing. I slipped and fell, and hurt my toe. I did get beautiful pictures from the scenery and decided I wanted to share.

I also wanted to show my outfit of the day since I appear in one of the pictures.

What I am wearing:
- Coat: Zara Basics
- Beige Sweater: Forever 21 (bought it almost two years ago in a sale though)
- Light blue (T-shirt?): Street sale in Seoul
- Black Shirt: Zara Basics
- Plain black leggings with skirt attached: Street sale
- Boots: Ugg
- Necklace: Tous

I opted for a very natural barely there makeup look

How was the weather in your city today?

C2C: 3 Highlighters (Review)

Hello!

A definite must-have for me during the winter are my face highlighters. It makes me glow like a twilight vampire. For the winter time everything becomes really dull so a little bit of shimmer can really spice up your face.

I love to use highlighter everywhere (not at the same time though!) but I really enjoy using it on my inner corners -that's a whole different review- on my high cheek bones and as eyeshadow when I want a pop to my eyes. I also enjoy using it on my cupids bow in my mouth.

The three highlighters that I will be showing today are one of my favorite highlighters I have tried. These are the three that I currently own and have in Korea, but I do not think I need more either.

MAC Mineralize Skin Finish- Soft and Gentle

This gorgeous Skinfinish from MAC is one of my favorite highlighters of all time. It is very shimmery and can even have a glittery look to it if you apply too much. However, the right amount of this product will make your skin look like its glowing from beneath. I have used this as an eyeshadow, on my cupids bow, on the arch of my brows and of course on my cheek bones. It is a must-have for me and my dull winter skin.

Nar Orgasm Highlighter

This is a love hate relationship for me since I find it to be very pinkish. I love mixing this with my foundation to give it a bit of a shimmer.

Countdown to Christmas: How to keep warm and fashionable in Winter

Heyoo:)

I am starting this new Countdown to Christmas in which every single day there is going to  be a post that can be related to fashion, beauty, or my randomness. Christmas is definitely my favorite time of year since it is all lights, carols, family, and friends. So in this segment you will find OOTDs, holiday tutorials, vlogs, holiday giveaway ideas and so much more. I am sooo excited to be counting down to Christmas stay tune for a lot of surprises as well!!!!!!

Days to Christmas: 22

When trying to be warm for the winter a lot of us (ahem me) can forget how to include being fashionable. Instead we kind of lean towards being more cozy and comfortable. What most of us do not know is that we can be all cozy without risking not being fashionable. I definitely like having both on my side.

Tip #1:

A Pop of color:

I love wearing all black outfits with a pop of color. I like black because it is not overpowering with layering and it also doesn't make me look like a grizzly bear just walking around the city of Seoul.

For the pop of color choose a scarf with a really cool pattern. Check out one of my favorite fashion icons (Blake Lively) rocking this tip

If you are not the scarf type of girl choose a handbag or purse that will stand out. I also love wearing different colored shoes with my all black outfit.

Tip # 2

Bulky it up on different sections

Its winter time and I love my uggs. That doesn't mean you will see me also wearing baggy sweatpants, uggs, and a slouchy sweater. In the contrary when using bulky pieces such as uggs I like to wear pixie pants or warm cozy legging to even out the look.

In this photo I am wearing a skirt, pantyhose and my uggs making the look more fashionable and girly. Its a little bit colder in Seoul now than when this picture was taken. But if I had to take a picture today I would wear my Uniqlo Heattech leggings beneath it.

So these are my tips for today stay tuned for this Countdown to Christmas series and for A LOT OF SURPRISES!!!

August Beauty Favorites!

Hello ladies!
Long time no talk! I know I keep promising and quite honestly I am also tired of promising and promising and never actually stepping through. But anyways just wanted to show some of my favorite Summer products this 2012.
This summer has been a really long one for me. I was in Mexico for 3 months and then traveled to Korea. That is the reason I have not been blogging or recording. I am currently at a study abroad program in South Korea just so that I can learn the language. It has been so fun!!!
Anyways, because I have been in Korea for a month already some of my products are definitely Korean beauty products, but you can always find them online if interested.

My backpack: I bought this at Ide. Really close to the Ehwa Womens University here in Seoul and it has definitely been a savior to my back. I actually have not carried a backpack since middle school, but since in Korea I walk a lot a purse is just out of the question.

Shiseido Bio- Performance:
If you know me or if you have seen my videos the thing that probably stands out the most are my dark circles. I am pretty sure there is no cure for them yet, but using an eyecream everynight really helps to avoid looking like a panda in the morning. And of course a good concealer. LOL

Hanskin Light Touch BB cream:
This BB cream is amazing. I simply love how it is not too creamy and dense like other bb creams and it just glides on my skin. I still like to use it with a moisturizer underneath because of my dry skin. I recommend this mostly for combination skin. This was perfect for me this summer since the weather in Korea is just so humid!! Arghh.. but its cooling down now. Whenever it comes to skin I would prefer to spend a little more money because we only have one skin, and if you put cheap chemicals on it the consequences are severe in the future. So treat your skin well:)
BB CREAM

A small swatch. Matches my Skin perfectly

Banila Co. Contour Brush: I hadn't really heard or bought any of their products but I am really impressed with it. It reminds me of Benefit Cosmetics (Probably founded on the same idea). This contour brush is amazing because the bristles are really soft and this works amazing for contouring.

Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cream: I finished my Clinique Moisturizer what was perfect for winter and spring. This face cream is so much lighter than Clinique's one, but definitely perfect for my dry skin. It was the perfect amount of moisture throughout the day without being too heavy for summer.

Etude Cookie Blusher:

Such amazing blushes I am not even kidding and for the price it is truly amazing I really like both but my absolute fave is Grapefruit Jelly.

Give Me One More Week

Hello everyone!!

Do you know what I have promised you guys this week? My monthly picture of how I am getting toned. My Toning my body program. And for the past three weeks I have been going to the gym nonstop and eating healthy. However, I must say that these past five days I have been working on a social event that has lead me to forget about the gym, and forget about eating healthy. That didn't mean I was leaving it behind, but because I was so busy I didn't keep up with my 5 meals a day. Unfortunately this is the reason I am asking you to give me one more week so that I can catch up with everything I did not do these past five days.

A little update:

Eating healthy: At first I was doing it all wrong. I was eating really healthy. Too healthy. I wasn't taking in any proteins which just made me hungrier by the time I finished the gym. When I started balancing everything out. It was so much easier for me to keep up and be energized. Your body needs all that fuel and natural vitamins to keep it going.

Don't starve: There are many vegetables I hate. But, remember there is a lot to choose from. Just like anything vegetables are not so limited and you can adapt to something or grow to like it. And don't stick with only salads because they can bore you really easily. Opt for brown rice and brown pasta and mix in your veggies in there. Anything brown will make you fill up faster.

To eat healthy you have to eat one of each line in the pyramid.

Going to the gym: My tips for this one is to push yourself. You are capable of what you don't even think you are. Yes you can keep going, and whenever you feel like you are going to give up, imagine your best body. It is really hard for me to keep up sometimes with my yoga class because I am really week on my arms, but I have grown so much stronger, and have done things I thought were not possible. So trust me, if I can, you can.

Tips:

  • Keep a food journal and an inspirational board. In your board put quotes and pictures that will inspire you to become the best you.
  • Don't weigh yourself everyday or even every week. That was my mistake. Because once you start loosing those extra pounds and you'll see numbers you will become confident. Too confident to the point where I was eating things I shouldn't have. Your best ally is the mirror, you will see changes there and you will like it.
  •  Force yourself to water. Drink, drink, drink. Your body should be drinking half your weight in fluid ounces.
  • Mix it up: Don't bore yourself by going to the gym only there are many great workouts in youtube. And it doesn't have to be all the same. Do yoga, zumba, pilates, martial arts, etc. Your body will respond better if you are constantly changing up your routine because your metabolism will boost and you will shed that belly fat straight away.

Must-haves in your Makeup Bag for Oily- Combination Skin

I know I always talk about products that are great for dry skin since my skin is mostly dry. However, I do know about a lot of products that are great for oily skin. In this post I will talk about must-haves for your makeup bag, products that you are going to use daily that will make you look fabulous, and protect you at the same time.

  • BB Cream or Tinted Moisturizer: When handling oily skin, always use oil-free products that will not make you grease up as the day goes by. Use products with high SPF, preferably 30+

Try: Smashbox BB CREAM (SEPHORA)
        Skin 79 BB CREAM (AMAZON.COM)
Laura Mercier Oil-Free Tinted Moisturizer (Sephora) - add an SPF since this product only has SPF 20.

  • Concealer: I really think concealer should be a girl's best friend sometimes that is all the coverage you need. Use a concealer that goes with your skin tone or a tad bit lighter.

Try: Benefit Erase Paste (SEPHORA)
        Mac Studio Fix concealer (MAC)

  • Blotting Papers: Need I say more? Having a glow is sexy. Looking shiny is not.
  • Mascara: Waterproof!!!!

Try: Cover Girl Lash blast Waterproof

Beach Babe Beauty

Hello ladies!!!!
How are you long time no talk well only a week, but still I have been really focused on my blog that I write in Spanish. That blog is a bit different because it is mostly about reviews and product consideration and more good things like that.

Today, I want to give you some tips on how to look like a beach babe if you are going on vacation or if you just want to look glowing and radiant.

Remember that:
  • In the Sun and heat, a lot of makeup is going to look so unnatural and may fall with sweat. So try to go as bare as you possibly can. Also avoid using foundations instead use tinted moisturizers or the very famous bbcream.
  • When using mascaras, or eye pencils go with a more waterproof formula or take a trip to the salon and get your brows and lashes tinted
  • Use SUNSCREEN and use a lipstick that also contains SPF to avoid getting those dark wrinkled lips.

Tips:
  •  Before you expose yourself to the sun and want to get that miraculous tan consider getting a fake tan. That will make you not want to expose yourself.
  • Bright nails look great with a tan
  • For your eyes use golden-tone eyeshadows that will complement your tan
  • Use a pearlescent highlighter to bring out your cheekbones
  • Clear or brown mascara makes everything look more natural.
  • For the lips  use warm pinks, bronzes, golds, and beiges. Avoid frosty finishes

5 tips to make your room look organized

Hello everyone,

I mentioned before that I am not quite an organized person. I love cleaning and everything but I move a lot in my room so that really messes things up. Most times I forget to put things back into its place and thats where the mess begins. The horrible thing is when a friend comes over and you really have not much time to clean these ideas are great for those of you with very little time.

Make your bed:

Because your bed is always the focus of your room and usually the biggest furnish object you have you should clear up your bed and fold everything into place. So make your bed.

Pick up that dirty clothes:

Dirty clothes appear everywhere. I constantly find myself just dropping clothes on the floor without a care. Pick it up and put it somewhere your guest won't see. After your guest leaves, take it to the laundry so that you avoid having a huge mountain on the end of the month.

Organize:

What? I mean its all about organization. If you have ten minutes only I would probably do the two tips above but if you have more time take time to put everything into place.

Spray:

Spray mist or burn a candle to give your room a more cozy feel.

Space:

Find space to see where you will hang out with your friend.

Hope these tips really help.
Let me know if you have any more ideas.

Day 1: I Wanna Get Toned

Hello everyone!!!

Here I will start blogging about exercise. I have been building inspiration up everywhere to pull myself into doing exercise, getting healthy, and toned up. If you are not doing a lot this summer, or if you are find time to do some exercise you don't even have to go to the gym just doing several types of exercises for your body at home can also work.

I have no plan on how I will start doing my workouts or any sort of plan I just want to make this series of photos where I show you my before pictures and as I move forward how I progress. If I don't stick to it I'll just have a lame picture of myself not fit in a bikini. lol. So hopefully having a public picture in the internet can inspire me to do some good to my body.

So here they are:

 Day 1

So, that's my body. I am not overweight I am 5ft 5in if you were wondering. With this I also hope to inspire you to become what you want to be.

Starting weight: 63kg 139 lb
In exactly a month I will upload a new photo of what I look then. If I don't look different do not hesitate in telling me! Yey.

Decorating Here and There

Hello!
As I mentioned in my previous post, I have been doing a lot of DIY and decor in my room. I love decorating and organizing. Truthfully, I am kind of an unorganized person, but I love cleaning and decorating. I'm just too lazy. However, interior design is just right up my alley. Hope you enjoy some of my tips on decorating small parts of your room.

I am back home right now and last year my family moved to a new house. Unfortunately, I got a smaller room but I didn't really care because I was in college. However, I am back for summer and had nothing to do so decided to decorate and make the room a little bit more ME.

Shelves:

As you can see above I decorated a small portion of my wall by adding to small white shelves (this will seem like you have nothing on your wall and will not pull focus from the colors of the objects you use on your shelf). I used several decor pieces I had such as the butterfly on the left. The towers and the glasses. In my top shelf I use mostly yellows and in my second shelf I use mostly pink. I love this little creation because it looks really girly yet simple. The key to decorating is to not go over board. What do you think?

Lamps:

I originally had no bedside lamps on my bedside tables. I didn't want to buy lamps because they can be quite expensive so I visited a store called Idea in Mexico which is like a Mexican Ikea. There I found these gorgeous paper lantern lamps and put them on the top side of my bed. When I am about to sleep this just makes me feel so cozy and I love it.

Coming Soon...

A DIY bracelet holder video!!!!!!!!

I hope you truly enjoy my small tips on decorating your room.

What are you doing this Summer?

Hello all!!!:D

I know long time no talk right?! I have missed blogging so much but now that it is summer I feel I should do it again. Blogging is just so much fun and it is so different than anything. If my grammar is wrong please forgive me, as english is my second language.

Anyways, moving on to the good stuff!!! What are you doing this summer? If you are constantly bored in your house, stuck on the internet, or anything of that sort I will give you some ideas on what to do!!!

DIY PROJECTS

In my opinion Do it yourself projects is the best way to spend summer. It keeps you busy and with things to do. I love these types of projects because it can really vary. You can do jewelry, decor, furniture, and where ever your creativity takes you. If you are not really the creative type I suggest to look up tutorials on Youtube, stumbleupon or just google whatever you want to make. Personally for me it has all been about doing jewelry fun arm candy's and figuring out ways to change up my room and make it more colorful this summer.

EXERCISE

I have to be honest. I haven't done this. In my defense I really really want to. I just can't find enough motivation or whatnot, but I really want to do it. Exercise is a really fun way to spend your time in summer. You will look hot and toned and everyone will want to be you! So get your butt up and get your exercise on. If you don't like to exercise than take another activity such as dancing that will also have a little cardio in it. Just keep yourself really active.

Here are some Youtubers I enjoy watching for inspiration:

I know we all say we can't look like them, but why have to be like another person? be yourself. I enjoy this video because it just really shows simple yet great workouts. Check out the whole series.

She is very very fit, and personally for me this is not what I try to achieve, but if you like to push yourself in your workouts she is the girl to go to for help.

If you want to have a good laugh while getting inspired click on this video above.

GET A JOB

If you are a college student, or anyone for that matter I believe that working is good because you get money and you gain experience. If you have no opportunities or can't work. Sell your things. For example, lets say you are a great bracelet maker. Sell them!! you will make money while doing the things that are fun and simple. If you are also talented in dancing offer classes to kids.  In my case I am doing makeup on people and expanding my portfolio.

TAKE A CLASS

Let's just say you have always loved bellydance but you have never really tried it. Why not do it this summer right? YOLO (ok I hate that word but it is true) spend your time doing things you really enjoy. I take classes every friday to keep on working on my makeup skills and I LOVE IT!

So, I really hope some of my ideas were helpful and you are already enjoying your summer. I will do more blogs on Summer beauty tips and Summer fashion soon!!!!

I missed you guys so much!!!

Hello everyone,

I have a new email where you can contact me for requests, business inquires, or to just talk.

Makeup Collection

Hello!!!!!:D Thank you soo much for watching. I hope you don't think I am making this video to brag or something like that because I am not. My makeup collection is not big at all because even though I have lots of love for makeup, makeup expires and keeping things on date is very important. Also, because of travel carrying makeup is not so good either and even as a makeup lover I think this amount of makeup is okay.

Hopefully I can inspire you to organize your makeup into someplace nice and cute. The principal reason I made this video is because as a person who travels due to school/college I can't store things easily and finally found some way to store it. I am home right now and I will only keep my makeup there for a couple of months because I will be traveling again. Hopefully I can update it as soon as I move again.

'No Makeup' Makeup Tutorial

Hello ladies,
I really love this look and in most days this is what I wear. I really do not like heavy coverage in the day because when I do dress up I do not like to have the same look. This natural look is really pretty.  I usually wear Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer, but because I was looking for something with a little bit more coverage I went with my Even Better Clinique Foundation# 25. I filled in my eyebrows with Concrete eyeshadow from MAC. I used my Hoola bronzer to give my face a little bit more depth than usual but I like it that way.

Products used:
- Neutrogena 3 in 1 concealer for eyes medium
- Clinique Even Better Foundation #25
- Hoola Bronzer Benefit
- Coralista Benefit Blush
- MAC paintpot in Bare Study
- Revlon pink lipstick
- Vaseline
- Covergirl lash blast waterproof mascara

Selena Gomez KCA

One of my current celebrities has got to be Selena Gomez. Not only is she dating Justin Bieber but, her fashion sense and beauty just screams to me! On Saturday, Selena worked the Orange carpet on the KCA  She wore Dolce and Gabanna using one of the most popular trends right now which is a busty top and a glimmering skirt. She looked absolutely stunning.

But that is not all! The teen sensation had a blue with gray smokey look to complete her outfit. Her hair was  relaxed and wavy (tutorial soon?).

Selena is definitely a fashion inspiration to me and to many young girls in the world.

Skincare Update for dry skin Avene Milk Cleanser and Toner Review

hello my lovely ladies!!:)

I was at Sephora the other day and was just looking around on the skincare section. I talked to this Sephora employee and told him I was looking for a great moisturizer because my skin was so dry and I could not take it anymore. He asked me what products I used before applying moisturizer and to clean my skin. I mentioned that I used the Neutrogena Gentle Cleanser and he said it was for those reasons my skin was overly dry. He recommended Korres milk cleanser because it was a much creamier consistency and that would moisturize my skin while cleansing it as well.

$22 at Sephora
Review: The product was great. It was very moisturizing and cleansed my skin while doing everything that it promised I was very satisfied by how moisturizing it was.
Would recommend to a friend.
TIP: Find a moisturizing cleanser.

He continued to ask me what exfoliator I used and I told him I did not because my skin was peeling and I started to have redness. Because I was exfoliating my skin I was over stripping my skin and that just made my skin worse. He recommended the AmorePacific Enzyme Peel . The funny thing is that this exfoliate cleanser looks more like a powder and had no harsh beads. Once rinsed with water, the powder becomes creamy and exfoliates the skin while cleansing it. I was astonished by how it worked. This company AmorePacific was new and I had no idea. The Company is a Korean company that specializes in skincare.
AmorePacific

$60 at Sephora
He gave me a sample as well.
Review: It was an excellent product the only downside is that it is really expensive. It is an extremely good product and very rich and moisturizing as well. Great for sensitive skin. It is also on the expensive side however a little goes a long way so I can see this powder lasting for at least a year.

I would recommend to a friend.

But I did not stop there.
I continued to look for new cleanser that was milky like the Korres Milk Cleanser. I saw Pixiwoo's video on skincare and how they thought the Avene Milk Cleanser was great.  I immediately bought it at www.dermstore.com and they had it for 18 dollars, I was thrilled because it was cheaper than the other one which was $22. Pixiwoo also recommended to use the toner after the cleanser and I bought it as well. Avene Toner
These products have been excellent to my skin I use them every night before I go to sleep and it refreshens my skin and it feels so soft.

Color Tattoo by EyeStudio

Hello everyone,

So one product every beauty guru has been raving about is the Color Tattoo by Eyestudio from Maybelline.

Their pigments are great. They have heavy colors and it is a little bit shimmery. Their color ranges from really bright colors to darker bronzed and silver.

I decided to try it out because everyone has been raving.

My opinion on it: Everyone says it is a dupe to MAC's paintpot but I do not think it is a dupe but it is more like a creamy eyeshadow. It has great colors and pigments but the range of colors are limited. I am guessing that is because it is a new product

The color I bought was Audacious Asphalt and it is a cream grey eyeshadow with shimmer on it. I first bought it with the intencion of using it as a everyday eyeliner but, I see it is kind of sheer when I used it with my brush. So I guess I will just use it as a base for my smokey eyes.

I would suggest this to friends:)

If you have tried it please let me know
