Cleansers for YOUR skin?

Hello everyone!

The topic we wil be covering today is going to be cleansers. When I started getting into cleansers, I did not realize how intimidating it can be to choose one for your skin because of the different kinds and brands so I hope this is a helpful guide for you.

Oil Cleansers

Oil Cleansers are great if you are looking to remove your makeup and clean your face all at the same time. Because of its oiliness you can also find that it also removes waterproof makeup. There are also many different types of Oil Cleansers that is okay for many different types of skin, so it really doesn't matter if you have oily skin. It is also very gentle on your skin, unlike scrubs that scratch your skin.

Brands you should try:
Drugstore: Neutrogena, Innisfree, Etude House
Higher End: Shu Uemura, Shiseido

Use:
Daily

Peeling Cleanser

A peeling cleanser's duty is too remove any makeup and excess dirt you may have by peeling your skin. No, it is not painful I thought so too. It is the same as any other cleanser, but it just has a peeling effect. These are not so known on the US, but in Asia this is a big trend and very popular among Koreans.

Brands you should try:

Higher End(only ones I recommend have not tried drugstore): Primera, AmorePacific.

Use:
Can use daily, however I recommend every other day.

Scrubs

A scrub is really very simple. It helps to remove dirt, blackheads, dead skin, etc. Scrubs are best if used two or three times a week as it is harsher for the skin. If used too much it can pull on the skin and create redness and lines.

BEWARE: The scrubs you use for your body should not be used on your face since they are too harsh for it.

I won't recommend a scrub since there are so many and it would really vary on what type of skin you have.

Foam Cleanser

A foam cleanser, cleanses your skin whilst creating foam. I personally don't understand why someone would want foam on their face. It is good for using everyday. If you have drier skin I would not suggest this as it can leave a plastic feeling on your face.

Gel Cleanser

Gel cleansers are preferably used by people with oily skin and it is the basic form of cleanser. It is very easy to find and also cheaper than other cleansers. It can be used daily.

Cream Cleanser

Cream Cleansers are for people who have drier skin because it moisturizes the skin whilst cleansing it.

Dolly Wink Eyeliner Review

This eyeliner is so talked about basically everywhere and when people speak good about eyeliner I am in to try it. In the States getting Dollywink is a bit harder than here in Korea. So, if you are interested in trying it out yourself, I would suggest Ebay or Amazon.

Anyways, this is a review on what I think about the eyeliner and if you have your own post please let me know on comments below.

My first thoughts:
When I first tried it on, I immediately did not like it. It was very liquidy and runny and the color was bleeding all over. The first pigment of the eyeliner was also very light and more on the gray side than black. So I went back to shaking it well just to make sure I had all the color deposited. Tried again, fail. I was so disappointed that the color payoff was not great. Because I tried it on my hand I decided to take it off and the little line would not disappear I was impressed by how it just stuck there. I actually used a scrub to take it out later.

Now that I have had the liquid Eyeliner for over three days it has dried out a bit and the eyeliner is really black. I don't know if I recommend it over my holy grail eyeliner Stila Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner, but it stays all day and I barely had any smudging and even though I needed two layers of eyeliner to get my wanted results it did stay on all day.

With no Eye primer.

Swatch in hand

I also like it because of its really thin felt tip brush. It makes doing the outer part of the eyeliner easier.

Let me know what your  thoughts are on this bad boy.

How to Find your Own Fashion Style

Hi everyone!!
I have missed you so much and today I come with a really good topic to talk about: fashion. I am not a fashionista, nor am I very interested in knowing all trends. However, i have learned a few things about how to improve your style by being yourself.
First of all, people need to know their body type a square body, circle body, etc. Look at the image below to identify your body type.

Now that you know what your body type is, you can start researching what could fit you best.
Remember that whatever you wear has to speak for you,  if you dont feel comfortable with what you are wearing you won't feel confident enough. Not all trends, or colors suit everyone so look for what looks best on you and continue.I am a firm believer in the fact that if you look fabulous you will feel fabulous and then your day will go perfectly. Whenever i feel like the day im going to have is going to be long or hard, i dress up. This kind of makes me feel more confident and i take a different approach on a hard day. Maybe it does not make it an amazing day but you will receive a few compliments.
Now onto finding your fashion style.
There is so much inspiration everywhere that even the less artistic person could know what makes them feel inspired and see something they like. Find colors, style cuts that you appeal to and slowly start making changes to your simple style. Stray away from neutrals and reach for colors and patterns.

5 Tips to Start your Day Great!

Hello everyone!!

Hope you have had an awesome week so far. I wanted to share a post on how to start your day great because a lot of times for me it can be a bit of a problem because I always prefer to take those 10 minutes more, which becomes 30 or 40 minutes. Then I have to wake up in a hurry because I didn't get things done.

So these are simple things that will make your life feel more organized and clutter-less.

1. Have a good night sleep: Your body needs a minimum of 6 hours of rest. However, I firmly believe that sleeping for 8-10 hours is better because your body has time to fully regenerate.

2. Have a plan: A lot of times we don't make plans or have a list of things to do. This always leads to staying more in bed and then waking up in a hurry. Make a list of things to do for example: Take a shower, do some yoga, go to school.

3. Get light in: Once you wake up don't keep those curtains closed. Make sure you open them to receive all that good Vitamin D. It is so interesting to see just how sunlight can change your mood and it does help so get that natural light in.

4. Have breakfast: Breakfast is so important and it really defines on how you are going to spend the rest of your day. If you have time to do your makeup, then you have time to eat. Try a green smoothie, omelettes, or yogurt with cereal.

5. Smile and be Polite: Smiling in the morning is very important because it shows what mentality you are going to be at the rest of the day. Just because a day started badly does not mean it has to end up badly.

The extra one:

Be confident: Be confident in how you look, what you do, and always always be confident with yourself.

What are your tips on starting a great day?

How to Organize in Small Spaces

Hello Lovelies!!

This video is all about organizing in small spaces. If you  live in a college dorm, are a college student with a budget, or share a roommate you totally understand what I mean. In my room back home, having a walk in closet was so comfortable, but everything changed once I reached college. These tips are awesome if you need space saving in your closet, jewelry and makeup.

Recycle:

Recycling Wine bottles and using them as bracelet holder is a very good way to organize and decorate. Use them for headbands and necklaces too.

Magazines are great decor. Specially in dorm rooms where you can't use nails so using photos and cut-outs from magazines to create collages gives the impression that your room is well put and a bit more interesting and colorful.

Stacking Magazines:

I love my magazines, but once you finish reading them instead of taking them to your bathroom and stacking them opt for stacking them and using them to help display jewelry. As shown below, I use my magazines to create a platform for my makeup and jewelry.

Use what you have:

You don't need extra decor in a small space. Specially because it can create clutter and that is what you don't want at all, right? So if you have a nice perfumebottle display and try to create a balance between all the products by displaying them neatly and kind of messy at the same time.

Use kitchen utensils:

A lot of times kitchen utensils are great for jewelry organizers. The wooden thing you see below is actually a cup hanger but I use them for my bracelets.

For Makeup:
Use lipstick holders: lipstick holders are the best way to display your lipstick. This way you won't forget what lipsticks you have and will be easy to grab if you are on the go. Buying lipstick holders is really easy. I bought mine at The Container Store but you can also get them at Ebay or Amazon.

Hang your brushes
I used to always keep my brushes in a my brush roller, but by displaying them I reach for them more often. I chose to hang them because my small space does not have more space to keep it elsewhere.

Maximize Space:

I use a hanger to put cotton swabs and your brushes. I also use it to put my cameras and some cables. This way it is easier for me to find it later.

What are some of your ideas on space saving and organizing?

Let me know in the comments below. Have a Great day.
